Queen’s Counsel MEANING

Queen’s Counsel are Barristers of at least ten years standing may apply to become Queen's Counsel. QCs (now King’s Counsel KC) who undertake work of an important nature and are referred to as 'silks' which is derived from the Courts’ gown that is worn. Known as King's Counsel as a King has assumed the throne.
