PRICE REVIEW

Dear Students,

After 3 years of uncertainty for everyone and with all our costs, both fixed and variable, continuing to rise, we must reconsider our fees. As someone who may run your own household budgets, we are sure this will not come as a surprise. To date, we have absorbed the rising costs we have incurred as a business, but this is not sustainable if we want the business to continue.

We do not make this decision lightly; considerable care is taken in reaching decisions of this nature, with full awareness of the impact on our students’ finances. This change will not affect students who use our service on an ad hoc basis; however, we understand it will affect regular students. However, it is imperative that we not only secure the long-term viability of our small law tutoring service but also expand our offerings and continue to invest in both the present and the future.

In reviewing our proposed increase in fees, we have taken the following into account:

  1. Our local market for comparable law tuition providers and fees.

  2. Current rate of inflation and our rising costs;

  3. Staffing costs. The demand is driven by expectations of minimum wage increases.

  4. Fixed costs, such as utilities and insurance, continue to rise faster than inflation.

  5. The continual need to invest in training our team, resources and facilities;

  6. The cost of advertising and IT also face an upward pressure; and

  7. Administrative or processing fees (merchant charges).

The above is by no means an exhaustive list, but it should give you some indication of how difficult the situation is and why we have had to consider a serious decision to increase our fees. We hope that you understand and appreciate that it is no longer an option for us to absorb the rising costs to our business.

We have proposed an increase in the hourly rate to £160.

As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us directly.

Yours faithfully,
