PRICE REVIEW
Dear Students,
After 22 months of uncertainty for everyone and with all our costs, both fixed and variable, continuing to rise, it has become necessary for us to reconsider our fees. As someone who may run your own household budgets, we are sure this will not come as a surprise. Up until now, we have absorbed the rising costs that we have faced as a business, but this is not sustainable if we wish for the business to continue to exist in the future.
We do not make this decision lightly; a considerable amount of care is taken in reaching decisions of this nature, in absolute full awareness of the impact on our students’ finances. This change will not affect students who use our service on an ad hoc basis; however, we understand that it will have an impact on regular students. However, it is imperative that we not only secure the long-term viability of our small law tutoring service but also expand the service we provide and continue to invest in both the present and the future.
In reviewing our proposed increase in fees, we have taken the following into account:
Our local market for comparable law tuition providers and fees.
Current rate of inflation and our rising costs;
Staffing costs. The demand is driven by expectations of minimum wage increases.
Fixed costs, such as utilities and insurance, continue to rise at a rate exceeding inflation.
The continual need to invest in training our team, resources and facilities;
The cost of advertising and IT also face an upward pressure; and
Administrative or processing fees (merchant charges).
The above is by no means an exhaustive list, but should give you some indication of how difficult and why we have had to consider the serious decision to increase our fees. We hope that you understand and appreciate that it is no longer an option for us to absorb the rising costs to our business.
We have proposed an increase in the hourly rate to £140.
As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us directly.
Yours faithfully,
