Prosecution

Prosecution MEANING

Prosecution is the institution or conduct of criminal proceedings against a person. The designation given to the group of individuals (lawyers and others) who are initiating legal action against another party. The prosecution is the legal party responsible for presenting the case in a criminal trial against an individual accused of breaking the law. Moreover, the act of bringing legal procedures against another person is referred to as a prosecution. The goal of the prosecution is to prove that the accused is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt through the presentation of evidence and arguments in court. This process ensures that the laws of the land are upheld and that justice is served by holding wrongdoers accountable for their actions. The prosecution plays a crucial role in the criminal justice system, as it ensures that those who have committed crimes are held accountable for their actions and face just punishment accordingly.
