In camera

In camera meaning

In camera is a hearing held in the judge’s chambers. An in camera hearing is held in private. There are several instances in which the proceedings might be heard behind closed doors (also known as "in camera"), meaning that the general public is barred from the courtroom and the doors are locked. These kinds of scenarios fall within the purview of Section 6 of the Criminal Process Rules.

A judge has the authority to conduct a hearing in private and exclude any spectators from the proceeding if they are of the opinion that doing so is essential for the effective operation of the judicial system. No matter how you choose to observe the hearing, you are not permitted to record it, broadcast it, or take pictures during it.
