A executor is or are person(s) specified to carry out the terms of a will. A executor of will. Everything you own, including as money, property, and belongings, is included in what is known as your estate. The answer to this question is yes; it is absolutely acceptable (as well as totally legal) to identify the same individual in your will as both an executor and a beneficiary. In addition to determining who you want to name as executors and trustees of your estate, you should think about whether or not you would want any of them to be compensated for the time they spend dealing with your estate. All executors and trustees have the legal right to be compensated for their out-of-pocket expenditures. This is the case regardless of the size of the estate.
