Lords Temporal

Lords Temporal MEANING

Life Peers, the Earl Marshal, the Lord Great Chamberlain, and Hereditary Peers as well as Hereditary Peers chosen in accordance with the Standing Rules make up the Lords Temporal. There are 665 life peers as of the month of February in 2023. The Life Peerages Act of 1958 authorises the creation of life peerages, which may only be given the rank of baron or baroness. Life peers are formed by the Queen, who does so based on the suggestion of either the Prime Minister or the House of Lords Appointments Commission. This is the case with all other peers as well.

The volumes issued by Law Tutor are extensive collections of legal notes authored by a former law professor and barrister, and they are utilised not just as LLB law books but also for the SQE assessment specification, the CILEX qualification framework, and the University of London LLB curriculum.
